For four years, the museum at the university I attended was closed. After significant renovations they were set to reinvent themselves to the community. My team envisioned the museum as a place of solitude and relaxation, a garden of sorts. The garden and gardener, were used as a metaphor for the role of the museum to not only preserve and maintain the history of art, but to develop places of intellectual and spiritual growth. The garden is a place of life, and nourishment, it is the job of the gardener to tend to that garden, make sure that it grows well and is protected to serve future generations. Coupled with existential vernacular we developed a campaign about positive life and growth in art for our community.
