Let me just start off by saying that it is never a good idea to mess with something that works a hour before it is supposed to be shown. An obvious word of wisdom, well maybe not. Essence is an interactive piece that explores how we interact with systems and the prevalence of the captured image. As you approach the kiosk, your image is shown through the camera on the screen. You can then capture your image and after run through a piece of software will output your image on--what was supposed to be--a dot matrix printer--but broke an hour before show time. The images were then output as one long strip of paper for people to see as they came out.
